Why this is good to prepare our best 9 artwork photo every year end?
Above is my 2019 best 9.
At first, I was only following what other artist was doing. They concluded their best 9 for that year. It look great then I made it too.
After making those cut and paste, I aware a good chance to compare them among myself throughout those years.
(and/or create plan for coming new year)
Above were my 2018 best 9
In 2017, I did not make year end selection. However, I am certain - I created the highest amount of artworks on 2017.

By creating these best 9 year end photo, it enable me to have a conversation among myself:
How much progress did I made?
How many art I created?
This year it is much lesser than I supposed to, Why?
What is the topic I focus on the most?
Where is my weakness, things that I neglected?
Conclusion?

In conclusion, 2017 and 2019 both year I made significant progress. 2018 was not as productive as 2017 nor 2019.
In 2019 , I created only around 12-13 pieces. 24 pieces goal were not fulfilled as I spent too much time on these 12-13 artworks. (Also, I could not compare these with 2017 as I worked in numerous part time position among 2019. I could not draw full time as I was during 2017.)
Although I fail to reach 24 pieces goal, I satisfied about almost all of these 12-13 works.

Preparing the best 9 is a good habit as :
1. This help us focus on , compare, feel if there is any improvement among years 2. This critique help us understand our weakness and strength
3. Look into the past, help build up a more specific goal for the coming new year
May be this was already being told long time ago by someone else. I do not know. Is there any other place or essay or blog already aware and mention these benefit long ago? I do not know. This seems is a good idea and there is a deeper meaning than only a chance to 'show-off my best'. Therefore I write it here.
